About Mrs. Daugs

          Introduction:

Hi there! My name is Alison Daugs. I grew up in the Bear Lake Valley in a small town called Montpelier, Idaho. I am the fifth child of seven in my family. I am the only girl which created some interesting times in my childhood. I loved playing sports like basketball and volleyball in school. I was also a cheerleader, cheering on the boys when the girls teams weren't playing. I was a busy and active girl. I moved to Logan in 1992 to go to Utah State. I married my husband of now 30 years. I  attended and completed close to two years of schooling before I had my first child. Being a mother took precedence.  I am so glad it did. I have three awesome kiddos ages 28, 23 and 21.

Bonus fact: I became a grandma this summer and love our beautiful grandson so much! I think it would be so fun to teach my grandkids one day! :)

This is my 11th year teaching first grade!I decided back in 2011 to jump back into school and finish what I had started, to finish my Elementary Education degree. It was hard, but worth it! I worked five years in Cache County School District as a Reading Aide. I loved, loved, loved every minute of it. My goal was to do it full-time and to have my own classroom one day, so here I am!! After completing my degree in 2014, I taught in Logan School District as an intern in both 5th and 1st grades.  I was lucky enough to be hired back in Cache District in 2015. Cache is the BEST!

I am so excited to begin the 2024-25 school year as your child's teacher. It has been a long dream of mine to be a teacher.  I not only have a deep love for ALL children, I truly believe that EACH child has so much potential, if given the chance.  It is my hope that within my classroom, your child KNOWS who they are and believes that they can do ANYTHING. We are all given different talents and abilities that help us in life. Throughout the school year, we will all share our talents/abilities, learn from and appreciate others' talents/abilities and recognize new talents/abilities in ourselves that we may not have known existed. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a hand in your child's progress and I am very excited to not only teach them, but to learn from them.
